RCIA

RCIA is the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.  It is a process developed by the Catholic Church for prospective converts to Catholicism who are above the age of infant Baptism.  RCIA Candidates are gradually introduced to aspects of Catholic beliefs and practices.  The basic process applies to adults and older children.  For those who join an RCIA process, it is a period of reflection, prayer, instruction, discernment, and formation.

This RCIA process is lead by the Parish Priest.  There is no set timetable for those who join the RCIA process; Candidates are encouraged to go at their own pace, taking as much time as they need.  Those who enter the RCIA process are expected to begin attending weekend Mass on Sunday/Saturday, attend RCIA sessions lead by Father, and to become increasingly involved, if possible, in the activities of this Parish.

If you are interested in becoming Catholic and would like to have Father instruct you in the RCIA process, please contact the Parish Office (815-589-3542).
