Building & Grounds

The Building & Grounds Committee (B&G Committee) consists of parish volunteers who oversee all activities associated with the operation, maintenance, safety, and security of all buildings, grounds, furnishings, and equipment owned by the church, except items expressly the responsibility of another committee.  This B&G Committee addresses many minor building and grounds maintenance, updates, and repairs. 

Performing or arranging for all minor purchases, maintenance work, and repairs must be submitted and approved by the Parish Office Business Manager.  Major requests for work to be done regarding buildings, grounds, furnishings, and equipment must be submitted to the Parochial Administrator, through the Parish Finance Council, to determine what, if any, action should be taken. 

When funds are needed for expenditures by the B&G Committee, but are beyond the approved budget allotment, the B&G Committee will also request assistance from the Parish Finance Council.  The B&G Committee will stay informed of, and comply with, all code compliance and OSHA requirements; and the Committee will report all their activities to the Parish Financial Council.  At least one member of the B&G Committee will attend Parish Finance Council meetings as the Committee representative.
